Uglies Retelling

Author's Note: This piece is written as a retelling for the book Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld. 

The book, Uglies is about a girl in the future whose friend runs away, and is told that she can't turn pretty until she finds her. While trying to find her friend she learns the truth about what turning pretty is, but accidently gets her friend caught and turned. In the end she must choose between facing the truth of turning pretty and saving her friend, so chooses to accept the consequences of turning pretty and saves her friend from living with the pretty consequences forever.
